This unfinished house represents the on going and unfinished calling of every Shrine Mason. Our calling is to change the world by helping kids. We will never lose sight of this goal as it is one of the reasons that we exist and continue to exist. The World’ s Greatest Philanthropy is just that.
Sometime in 2011 we will treat patient 1,000,000. That’s right 1 million kids treated by Shriners Hospitals for Children. One million lives and one million families that we have helped to live productive lives through our philanthropy!
The House of Smiles is going to be our way to raise funds for the Hospitals. Donations are accepted in any amount from $20.00 and above. If you contribute a brick will be marked with a smiley face in your honor. You can chose to have anyone listed (within reason) or you can choose to donate in an anonymous fashion as you chose.
The goal? If we fill that house with Smiles we will derive $25,000 dollars for the Hospital. We are planning to hold our Ceremonials as part of a visit to Erie and Springfield Hospitals. We would like to be able to make our donations to each Hospital when we visit and take a boatload of new Shrine Masons to see what our cause really does in person.
